Pressure Set-up |
|
Wherever
adjustments may be required it is important to have all pressures set correctly.
To do this, first set the in-line reg out-put to 270psi using the exhaust
valve pressure gauge (see pic). Adjust pressure output up or down using the
velocity adjuster screw until an output of 270psi is indicated on the gauge. The exhaust
valve pressure test gauge can be purchased online from WDP
- Click

1 LEAK DIAGNOSIS AID - Click

| EXHAUST VALVE STEM | |
| If your Angel 1 is suffering from
a low velocity and your pressures are correct as per the pressure set up instructions
your exhaust valve stem may be worn/damaged and in need of replacement, if
the seal on the stem has become worn, stretched, or extruded it will not open
correctly and will restrict the flow of air. Be careful to install your new
exhaust valve correctly. If a barrel leak is detected after changing the valve
this means he valve has not seated correctly. To correct this simply dial the pressure up by turning the velocity adjustment screw counter clockwise to increase the pressure fed into the Angel, then fire the Angel approx 10 times, This will cause the seal to seat correctly and will eliminate the leak instantly. To increase flow through the exhaust valve the face seal has been modified from its original form. The angle of the sealing face has been changed to a flatter, less angled seal, which improves shot to shot consistency. The modified stem's different sealing faces are easily recognizable in the images right. The exhaust valve stem can be purchased online from WDP - Click here to buy. | DENT IN BODY OR BREECH |
If the Angel 1 is shot without
a bolt installed the gas blast can blow the breech block open causing it to
impact on the side of the body of the Angel. This will not only leave a tell
tale bruise on the side of both the body and the breech block, but can also
bend the breech pins used to secure the block into position. If bent sufficiently,
the breech block and body will be forced out of alignment with each other.
|

| Examples
of the tell tale dent in the body and block can be seen in the image above.
Should your Angel exhibit such marks the breech pins may well be bent and require
replacement. The prcedure can quickly carried out at your local Angel Service
Center. Click here for a list of official service centers. |

| Lighter Hammer | |
A lighter hammer was introduced after feed back and trials by NPPL pro
teams Miami Rage and Stockholm Joy to further reduce the already minimal
kick and to aid with gas efficiency. These new light-weight hammer/ram assemblies
are now included as standard on all new Angel 1's and whilst not critical
to your markers overall performance it is an upgrade and can be purchased
from any good Angel dealer or direct from WDP. The Ram
hammer assembly can be purchased online from WDP - |

| ASA + GRIP FRAME | |
|
Although the ASA/Grip frame are connected via a dove tail mechanism there are limits to how far forwards or backwards the ASA can be positioned. If the ASA is set too far forwards/backwards the forces used to clamp the ASA in place become uneven. The user could over-tighten the clamping screws in an attempt to get the ASA secure on the rail, this will bend the ASA body and eventually crack the dove tail mount off the frame. In order to prevent damaging the ASA or grip frame users should note the correct and incorrect mounting positions shown in the images below.

Please note the correct position of the hammer when closing the breech (see
illustration below). The hammer should be positioned as far back as possible.
Failure to ensure the hammer is in the correct position and the bolt not correctly
located could result in: |
